Shared conditions, separate choices
Every competitor receives the same lane sequence for the heat. That makes route selection and recovery the main differentiators. The scoreboard remains provisional until the server validates the full run.

Use the outside lane
The centre looks direct but attracts more contest. An outer path may offer fewer targets with cleaner access, producing a steadier total. Switch only when the gain is visible; repeated lane changes cost both time and accuracy.

Compete without chasing
Leaderboard rank is feedback, not a reason to exceed a time or spending limit. Tournament pages should show entry conditions, closing time, tie rules, prize restrictions and the process for reporting a disputed result before play begins.
